He's a little backwards...

Perhaps it comes with being a lefty! I know my mom says I did things like this all the time when I was his age.

A for effort

Parker is desperate to crawl, so he's been pulling some crazy moves in his attempts. His issue is he refuses to keep his head up. He likes to be able to look at his knees as he moves them. He's crawled a few times, but most the time its just failing. At least Mommy gets a laugh. :)

I'm so glad when Daddy comes home!

These little boys demand Grant's attention the minute he pulls into the garage. Colby runs out to meet him, so much that we have to tell him to wait until Daddy stops the car so he doesn't get run over. And Parker hears his voice and does this yell/holler/squeal until Grant scoops him up and gives him kisses. Then they refuse to be anywhere but his lap and his arms and have his entire attention. I love it, because 1- I love they love their Daddy and 2- Mommy could really use a break at that time!

Mood Swings

When Parker's tired, he will go from happy to miserable in seconds, and then back again. A very moody little boy, but how can you not love that face???

Almost there!

All of a sudden, Parker is desperate to learn how to crawl. He's so crazy close, I hold my breath every time he tries. Its adorable to see this itty bitty thing trying to be so big!

Workbook

A bit of backstory- my son doesn't talk very well. He cannot pronounce his L's, and isn't great with R's either.

Colbs loves to work on his playschool workbooks. He loves letters and trying to read, so this is right up his alley. Today I had to leave him alone with the book to go pick up a screaming Parker. I come back and he's turned the page to work on it. He is doing the W page, what word starts with the "wuh" sound. He furiously colored the lion. I came back and said "Oh no, you colored the Lion. Luh-ion. Luh Luh... it starts with an L." He immediately started arguing with me... "No! Wuh Wuh Wion! It makes the wuh sound, it starts with W!"
I guess technically he is right. Wion does start with a W!

Tough call

I think one of the hardest parts of being a heart mom is the unknown. The second guessing of everything. When he's having a hard day, you don't know if teething, the reflux, or maybe somethings wrong with his heart or pacemaker. Like today. He was absolutely miserable, with a stuffy nose and a low-grade fever. We tried to suck out his nose, which promptly started gushing blood. This isn't the first time it has happened, either. And no matter how many times you google "nosebleed heart block infant dangerous?" you don't get any helpful info. All you can do is watch closely and pray that everything will be okay.

He's had such a rough day, I'm glad its over and the bleeding has stopped and sleep has taken over. Sleep tight bud.

Just a quick little video

Second child syndrome, I never take videos of Parker. Which is bizarre, I love seeing clips of Colby when he was a baby. But I discovered my camera can do video as well, so I was playing around with it. Parker is moving more, and wanting to catch the cats. I love how you can see the idea forming in his mind at 0:07, and then when Colby pips up "He's grabbin his tail!" how Parker looks at him like "Isn't that such a great idea???" at 0:16.
