Milestones

Parker rolled over by himself for the first time this week. It surprised both him and me. Colby was a late bloomer as far as rolling and moving. The Occupational Therapist seems to think the pacemaker was bothering his belly, and so he wouldn't be willing to move or push his body up. But now he's getting pretty good at it!

Also we decided to feed him solids, in an attempt to

1- get him to sleep longer and

2- help with his reflux.

He started out wide-eyed, curious as to why we put him in there and were all staring at him.

"Whoa... what was that???"

Yeah, I think he liked it...

A lot!

And his other recent milestone, we actually got a laugh out of him! This one is still pretty rare though!

Getting ready for his cardio appointment

Here's a few pics I snapped after his bath. I wanted him to smell good for the cardiologist. He's such a cute little guy!

Catch-up Posts Day 2!

Here's another random-pic post!

Colby's obsession- geotrax. He drags these things around all day, every day. He cannot go to sleep unless they're all crowded on his bed with him. They came with a DVD, so he has them mostly named correctly, with the except of "ho-ho Santa" and "Blue Opie, Green Opie, and Another Opie". You do NOT want to know how many times we've torn his room apart at 11 pm searching for Green Opie so he could sleep.

Colby's cousin Cooper came over for a few days this past week. Colby had so much fun! They finger painted, played with cars, and made feetie bunnies for Easter.

We All Fall Down

Parker's become so smiley lately, but the more he smiles, the more he wiggles. Here's a good example.

The mother of all catch-up posts day 1!

So I have tons of pictures of both my boys that I keep meaning to get up on this blog, but I never really have the time. So I am going to do a series of 3 blog posts right now, and space them over the next three days. So here's part one! (and these are all pretty recent pictures, I'm not even going to attempt older ones!)

Colby got REALLY into planning Daddy's birthday!

Parker's Appointment with the Cardiologist

Parker during his EKG. Look, he has more wires than fingers!

Then we had to check his pacemaker. We got the machine all hooked up, and the computer couldn't find a working pacemaker. No matter how we tried, it couldn't read it. I started to get freaked out, but apparently its a different brand than most pacemakers. We had to go with the less common brand because it is the smallest. And our peanut? Yeah, he's small.

The problem with these appointments and a 4 mo old? He kept grabbing the wires...

and eating them. Nom Nom Nom. So Nummy.

First Game of the Season

Colbs had his first t-ball game of the season today. He was so pumped to start. He practically skipped onto the field. And then he got nervous, and scared. And then bored.

I've learned there are two types of t-ball players. You have the ball-hoggers. They're the type to race for the ball, even if there are 3 kids that are closer. They're also the same kids who chase after the ball after they already hit it.

And then there's Colby's type, the "meh" kids. He was more than happy to watch the other kids chase after the ball. First he play pitcher #4, and then second baseman#3, and by the end his job was dirt pusher in the outfield. He completely skipped the last inning, instead choosing to hang out with me on the bleachers.

Here's to hoping his next game is more fun!

4 Months old!

Today Parker turned 4 months old! We're so excited, and yet so shocked. Pregnancy dragged on forever and forever, and now his babyhood is just slipping through our fingers. So here's four things about our little buddy-boy.

1- Did I mention the teeny? 11 lb 4 oz today. Although he's starting to fill out, he still doesn't look like a 4 mo old. He's holding strong in the 1% for weight and height.

2- He's so happy! Although he's very high maintenance still, he will smile at ANYONE. You just coo "hi!" and he'll flash an adorable gummy smile at you.

3- He's a total mama's boy. Which I love. Colbs was always obsessed with Dad, so its my turn :)

4. His eyelashes are longer than the hair on his head. Poor guy!

Brothers, much?

Sometimes my boys look almost identical to me. Not many others can see it though. Well, one afternoon Colby insisted that Parker sat next to him while they watched TV. And I'm a sucker for a photo opportunity, so I started snapping pics. Gosh they are so much alike!
