Father's day was great. Colbs got to visit all three of his grandfathers and smother them with hugs and kisses. He loves all his 'papas' ! But most of all, he loves his daddy. He was just attached to his daddy all day. Instead of playing with the other kids in the backyard, he just lounged in his daddy's lap with a sippy cup in hand. Their relationship is truly something special. I hope someday that Colby turns out EXACTLY like his daddy. :)

They call me the toddler...
So a few days ago, I decided to make an AWESOME video, with "The Toddler Song" by Sean Morey as the background. My son is all sorts of hyper and naughty usually, so I just knew I would have tons of material. So I pulled out my trusty video cam, and started filming. Oh my gosh. My little heathen becomes an absolute ANGEL when he sees blinking red lights. He's polite, sweet, helpful, and happy.
The absolute shocker though, was this moment:
My son is actually cleaning. Without any cojoling, bribing, or time outs.
I am going to install video cameras in every room. It might be pricy, but it'll be oh so worth it!
(the playlist will be gone in a week, I promise!)

Where has the time gone???

What are you doing???
So, sometimes kids surprise you in the most bizarre ways.
As a halfway decent parent, I'm trying to get my son to be polite. And him being a kid, he's fighting it at all times. So I sat down with him and a packet of fruit snacks. I pulled one out, and as he lunged for it I said "say please!" He squirms, grabs the snack, and devours it. I was getting frustrated after about 6 fruit snack grabs, until I realized something. The little turkey WAS saying please.... in sign language.
Where in the world did he learn sign language??!?!?!
We called our babysitter and confirmed that it was in fact her. She would just do it around her kids, and Colbs picked it up.
Here's a video of please and thank you.
He also knows 'more,' but apparently shouting out "mo!" is more effective with grandma. :)
