Its time...

Tonight we were out to dinner at Five Guys (super yummy, by the way!) and having a grand ol' time. Colby was flirting with patrons and employees equally. One of the employees struck up a conversation with us, mentioning how much "she" (aka Colby) loved his (aka weird, sucks-at-gender-guessing employee) broom.

*Shock*
My little boy does not look like a girl. Sure, his hair is getting long, but he looks like a toddler, not a female. Colby was dressed in an orange and white shirt with jean overalls with frickin sports on them.

A pic of the hair. NOT THAT BAD. Its cute! Its sweet! Its soft!

P.S. *sigh* There will be "first haircut" pictures on Monday night after our appointment. Stay tuned.

I love Daddy, he loves me...

Colby and Daddy have a special bond. They are always so thrilled to see each other. This makes me so happy!

Starfall

Ok you'll probably have to turn your volume way up to hear this. (Cell phone videos don't have great sound.) Anyways, Colby loves a program called Starfall and would be on it all day if we'd let him. His favorite is the 'short A sound' song. I think its so adorable when he sings along!

Just Like Daddy

All Fall Down!

Colby's new favorite game is Ring Around the Rosy. He'll let go right before "All Fall Down!" and plop on his little bum and clap and laugh. Then he'll stand up, reach over and grab your hands, trying to pull you back up for one more time. Have you ever played that with a 1 yr old? Your back starts hurting from reaching down so far. So after about seven times in a row, you just say no. Go play. So little boy decides to play it by himself.

Those "all fall down!" plops are completely intentional, I'm sure. (Ok not really, but it makes me giggle!)

All Six Boys

Getting 6 boys to sit for one picture is quite the feat! Here is Colby and his 5 cousins on the "P family" side, aged 6, 4, 1, 1, 1, and 7 months. To see all of them play is so funny. They pretty much ignore each other, until they see another playing with a cool toy, and then they just all flock together. They spend every other Sunday together, and have the makings of friends forever. I really do hope it stays like that!
P.S. ... we need girls.

Babysitters

Colby's babysitter shared a bunch of pictures with me... this is my favorite. Lil Dude loves his vacuums, thats for sure. We have to barricade him out of any room we need to vacuum, because he'll get so excited and chase it. So this pic totally makes me laugh. Thanks Melissa!

Waiting up for Santa.
The moment he saw the loot, he grinned and started running.

Santa's offerings.

He plopped down and just started playing with everything.

We helped him up on the slide, he was a bit afraid to try it on his own.
But he loved it.

Look! More toys!
Stocking...

He loves his telephones. "hew-o!"

Standing Amidst the mess

Merry Be-lated Christmas, all!

I know these are late...

These are late being posted, and I'm sorry. On Christmas morning there was a storm that caused a power surge to go right to my hard drive, and fried it all. While we are in the lengthy and expensive process of recovering everything, I have not had the desire to post. However, one of the reassuring things throughout all this mess is that even if I do not recover a single picture off the hard drive, that I will have over a year's worth of pictures that I have posted on that blog. I am kicking myself for not posting more! Well, ok, I am kicking myself for a lot of things right now. Either way, here are some superly adorable pictures of this wintry season. :)

At first, he just wanted to cling to daddy. Daddy was not thrilled... he needed to shovel before it got dark!

So I carried him out to let him explore the high snowbanks... this cracks me up, its almost as tall as he is.

We got a few smiles out of him...

Until he fell. Then we got a few yells.

But overall it was fun. We learned that he dislikes snow just like mommy. :)
